Title: Fluorescent tube, realisation procedure and lighting source
Abstract:
A small Romanian research company has developed a fluorescent tube, its realisation procedure and its lighting source. Main advantage: lighting efficiency 150~250 lm/W, twice that of the fluorescent tubes at present. Type of partner sought: technical co-operation with a research organisation for developing, license agreement, joint venture or manufacturing agreement with a producer from the lighting field for manufacture and distribution of this kind of tubes.
Description:
A centre for innovation from Romania generated in 2001 a scientific research programme for a new generation (of third millennium) of lighting electrical source, more economical, ecological, efficacious, with significant consumption reduction.
As a result, the first patent is obtained for a fluorescent tube with an average lighting efficiency of 200 lm/W, twice the current limit of 100-110 lm/W (of the years 2005-2006).
Thus, according to this invention, 1,000,000 fluorescent tubes of 4,000 lm/20W produce a lighting flux of 4.x 10^9 lm and an energy reduction of 20 MW; for an average life of 5,000 hours that mean an electrical energy reduction of 100 GWh (equivalent with 16 millions Euros or 1,000 Kg gold of 1,000 title, or 240.000 barrels GB petroleum).
The new lamp having standard external dimensions and gaseous medium is realised in degrees of efficiency from 150 to 250 lm/W.

Innovative Aspects:
The new UV generator space is a cylindrical crown with a reduced cross section, which demands reduced electrical intensities. · A big lighting efficiency of 150-250 lm/W.
· Reduced quantities of mercury.
· Reduction of noble gas consumption.
